Music to Level Up Your Day: Astral Chain

I don't know much about musical theory, nor am I a musically inclined person. However, I do love to listen to video game soundtracks. They can be a powerful listening experiences in their own right, or be as evocative as the scores composed for film. Each of these posts will feature a sampling of music tracks from a single game title, or series/franchise in some rare cases. A complete list of these can be found on the Video Game Music page.

Composer: Satoshi Igarashi

Singer: William Aoyama and Beverly Caimen

North American Release Date: August 2019

Set in the year 2078, humanity has been brought to the brink of extinction by inter-dimensional lifeforms called "Chimeras". Most humans left on the planet are protected by a mega-city called "The Ark" and its Neuron officers, who use "Legions" (tamed Chimeras) to fight the Chimeras.>/p>

Satoshi Igarashi wanted the background music to change genres depending on the mood of a scene: orchestral music for dramatic scenes, metal for tension, and electronic for calm scenes.
